In 2022-2023, Eleanor was a member of the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra
(UTSO), directed by Uri Mayer. She also worked with Sandra Horst on two opera productions
during this time.
Eleanor has had the most incredible privilege of attending several summer music
programs and participating in masterclasses. In the summer of 2023, she studied at Orford
Musique Academy with Lorna McGhee and Dr. Alexa Still for two weeks. On Thursday, January
12, 2023, she represented Stephen Tam’s studio in Dr. Timothy Hagen’s How to Practice

performed in his masterclass in 2019.
She also enjoys playing in chamber ensemble settings such as flute guitar duos. Eleanor
and her guitar partner of the Meraki Duo, James Baker, performed their first recital in June
2023: Tangos and Modern Music. This academic year, the Meraki Duo plans to focus on works
written by contemporary female and BIPOC composers.
Eleanor has significant experience working with concert bands such as the University of
Toronto’s Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony, Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra (TYWO) and
Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts Wind Orchestra. She studied under Dr. Gillian MacKay,
Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, Colin Clarke, and Anita Anton in such ensembles.
Eleanor likes to give back to Toronto’s music communities in her spare time. On Friday
evenings, she volunteers as a woodwinds teaching assistant at the Sohrab Youth Orchestra,
where she was a youth member.
