Kevin He is a thoroughly experienced teacher in the cello and music theory, known for his expertise, warm and encouraging personality, and logical ways of communication. Born into a musical family, Kevin studied the cello with his mother at a young age and later with Ming-Yao Sheng. Having played with the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, NYCO Symphony Orchestra and the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra, he enjoys rich performance experience as both a soloist and an orchestral cellist. Kevin holds a degree of Hon. Bachelor of Arts with double majoring of music and architectural design at the University of Toronto, where he is currently pursuing a M.Mus. degree in music composition.
Kevin is equally at home as a pianist and vocalist with other musical genres such as pop, and welcomes opportunities to work with students in all of such fields.
